Ghost broking warning video launched

Ghost figurines

An animated video warning young motorists about being ripped off by fraudsters selling fake car insurance has been launched today.

The video is part of a national awareness-raising campaign on ‘ghost broking' by the City of London Police's Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED), Insurance Fraud Bureau and Crimestoppers.

According to the IFED, the video urges motorists to use common sense when buying insurance and to be wary of deals that seem too good to be true and features extreme examples of making naïve purchases, including the painful consequence of being massaged by a professional wrestler.
