Aon enjoys 10% profit growth for Q1 2013

Aon has posted a 10% profit rise to $261m [£169m] from $238m for the first quarter of 2013, compared to the same period last year.

The international broker also saw its total revenue increase by 3% to $2.9bn, which it attributed to a 2% increase in organic revenue, as well as a 1% increase in commissions and fees. 

Its retail brokerage reported that that organic revenue had increased by 4%, which the broker said reflected revenue growth in both the Americas and international businesses.

Revenue for this division came in at $1.97bn, a 3% rise on the figure posted for the first quarter of 2012.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
