AMII chairman confirms Bupa trade body return
The chairman of the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII) has confirmed that Bupa is poised to work with members once again in the consumer private medical insurance (PMI) channel.
Last August, the health insurance giant stunned the market with its decision to stop offering some of its business-to-consumer (B2C) products through the broker channel.
However, AMII chairman Wayne Pontin told Insurance Age that Bupa has "made its intentions clear" about re-entering by offering its products through the trade body's members.
It has emerged that in recent months Bupa has partnered with a "small group" of brokers to test a new model offering B2C cover.
But Mr Pontin revealed that
