Autonet reports £5m jump in turnover

Autonet Insurance Services has reported a turnover of £25.4m for 2011, compared to £19.8m for the year before.

Operating profit also improved, from £4.2m to £7.6m.

The broker increased its staff numbers, adding 40 new employees between 2010 and 2011, bringing the total to 467.

Directors’ remuneration also grew by 90%, from £28,719 to £54,651.

The company directors stated: “Autonet had another excellent year in 2011 with a gross written premium of £89m, an increase of 27% on 2010.

“Again growth was achieved despite the ongoing general downturn in the UK economy.”
