Collinson snaps up One Group to cut third-party costs

Collinson Insurance Group (CIG) has struck a deal to acquire claims and assistance handler One Group in a bid to reduce its third-party costs.

As part of the deal CIG has agreed terms to snap up One Assist, as well as the assets of One Claims.

CIG claimed the move would enable it to merge its own claims handling, part of Columbus Direct and its other insurance brands, with One Group and also transfer its existing assistance business from third-party suppliers.

The One Group provides claims management and medical emergency assistance services to the travel and personal accident insurance markets, and directly to multinational
