Brightside turns to Holman as Banks quits

Brightside has confirmed that chief executive officer Arron Banks has resigned from the broker and will be replaced by Martyn Holman.

The Bristol-based broker said the change had occurred with immediate effect and that Mr Banks who has also stepped down from the board will be reviewing his options and remaining focused on his private interests.

The news came in an announcement to the London Stock Exchange. There were no further details on the abrupt departure of Mr Banks, who is the biggest shareholder in the broker owning 15.24% of the company.

A source close to the broker said that Mr Holman, previously insurance broking
