Breedon to leave L&G

Legal & General (L&G) has announced that group chief executive, Tim Breedon, will be retiring from the company at the end of 2012.

He took up the reins at L&G in January 2006 having previously been deputy group chief executive and group director for investments at the insurer.

Mr Breedon has been chairman of the Association of British Insurers since July 2010

The provider confirmed it would start looking for his successor in due course.
