LV looks within for new risk chief

LV has announced the appointment of Steve Haynes as chief risk officer, subject to regulatory approval.

Reporting to group CEO, Mike Rogers, Mr Haynes will have overall responsibility for ensuring risk is properly understood and translated into business requirements, objectives and metrics within LV.

Mr Haynes has taken over from Jim Webber who was here on an interim basis for six months following the departure of Roger Dix at the end of 2010. Mr Webber left LV in mid-August.

With over 20 years insurance industry experience, Mr Haynes joined LV in 2008 as finance director for the life business

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
