
Solicitors' PI hit by further blow as Aspen exits

Following a report in Post, a spokeswoman for the insurer told Insurance Age: "The details are that Aspen is not currently writing any primary solicitors in England or Wales whether new or what would have been renewals.
"The reasons for this are past claims experience, anticipated rates and mandated terms and conditions. They will be writing excess layers."
Aspen took the decision not to write any primary solicitors' business in the first half of this year.
The move followed market leader
