John Nelson named next chairman of Lloyd’s

Mr Nelson will take up the position when he succeeds current chairman Lord Levene who will retire after nine years in the role.

Mr Nelson has previously worked in the financial services, real estate and retail sectors and is currently chairman of Hammerson and deputy chairman of Kingfisher.

Lord Levene commented: "I am very pleased that the Council of Lloyd's has chosen John who is an experienced businessman with a successful record. He is an excellent choice."
