ABI calls for ban on referral fees

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has responded to the publication of the House of Commons Transport Committee report into the cost of motor insurance, labelling it a missed opportunity.

In contrast to the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) who welcomed the report, Nick Starling, director of general insurance and health at the ABI, said: "The committee took a great deal of evidence, and has chosen to ignore much of it.
