Policyfast RSA deal offers non-EDI brokers an e-trading solution

technology-tunnel

Online wholesaler Policyfast has reached an agreement with RSA to provide business car and van policies to brokers.

The agreement replaces the previous manual service and offers a solution for brokers that choose not to trade using EDI software. The agreement will take effect in January for van products and February for business car products.

Although a large proportion of RSA's business in this sector is written via the EDI platform, the Policyfast agreement allows brokers that do not use EDI to access and trade business car and van products via Policyfast's website.

The agreement is part of a number of recent enhancements RSA has made to its e-trading capability, allowing more business to be written electronically. According to the wholesaler, using Policyfast gives brokers the option to choose which of the available routes for accessing RSA products they would prefer to use.

David Greaves, small to medium-sized enterprise trading director at RSA, said: "We are committed to our brokers, and believe in giving them a wide range of options when it comes to e-trading with us. The arrangement with Policyfast ensures that all our brokers are able to access our products."

John Hooper, managing director of Policyfast commented: "We are very pleased to have been selected to provide this service to RSA's brokers. Our online trading provides them with a very efficient, non-EDI way of accessing these RSA products. Brokers will derive time and accuracy benefits over manual systems."
