Marsh announces aggressive network growth ambition

Marsh has claimed its network division will be a top three player by 2013 despite the departure of ProBroker head, Bruce Fertnig, and market rumours of limited insurer appetite.

Mr Fertnig left Marsh in August and has yet to announce his future plans.

Former managing director of the now-defunct Broker Network Insurance Brokers, Martyn Denney, is the networks leader at Marsh. He said the role vacated by Mr Fertnig was yet to be filled but that a replacement would be announced in the near future.

Mr Denney said: "Bruce is an industry veteran who came on board to set up ProBroker with Julie Page. His focus was on getting the panel together and establishing proof of concept
