Schemes: Misfuelling errors targeted
Claims management solutions business Complectus has developed a product with Axa Assistance, which aims to get drivers mobile again after misfuelling their vehicle.
Complectus said misfuelling was not covered by motor insurance policies or by standard breakdown cover.
"There are 150,000 drivers a year making misfuelling errors. With quieter modern engines, mixed fleets and multi-car ownership, it's easy to see how this happens," said Complectus managing director, Peter Powell.
