Brit designates new north-west development manager

Brit Insurance has hired Axa area manager Keith Commander as its business development manger for the North-west region.

Mr Commander, who was a Leeds-based area manager at Axa, will report to Brit regional manager Maureen Owen.

Commenting on the appointment, Ms Owen said: "Keith's strong existing broker contacts, and his proven ability to continually develop new relationships, will be instrumental in the drive to expand Brit Insurance's presence in the region.

She added: "To attract a manager of his calibre, with unrivalled local knowledge and experience, is testament to our growing reputation."

Peach and owner grow in 2025

Peach, which offers underwriting capacity to brokers, schemes and managing general agents for business insurance cover, grew in 2025 as profits at parent NPA Insurance also rose, maintaining the trends of the year before.
