Primary General Insurance, newly created from a merger of PBS and ATD, has now commenced trading.

Parent company PBS Holdings said Primary General would seek to harness the combined strengths of PBS and ATD, while remaining committed to the values of each firm.

The company also said it would try to maintain strong relationships at a local level and offer access to experienced underwriting and claims professionals.

Primary General now has a branch network throughout the UK, with offices in Glasgow
