The Axa Group's Q1 revenues for 2005 showed that personal lines saw an overall growth of 2.6%. However, motor revenues for the UK, including Ireland, were down 15%; the insurer stated this was a result of Axa's continued underwriting discipline amidst softening rates. Non-motor revenues rose by 5.5%, mainly driven by growth in health business and household. Commercial lines were down 4% with motor revenues decreasing by 7%.
