Hiscox has developed a high net worth contents index to estimate the value of homeowners' fine art and antiques.
According to the insurer, few homeowners have adequate insurance in place and fail to update their cover when they make a purchase or carry out regular valuations of their art.
The Hiscox Art Market Research (HAMR) Index will track the value of the homeowners' belongings and was developed to reflect the contents of Hiscox's own high net worth customers.
