Industry sources have expressed concern that the culture of outsourcing that is currently prevalent within the industry will inevitably lead to future job cuts and a subsequent drop in service levels.
This summer alone saw the announcement of nearly 6,000 total job losses within Axa, Norwich Union, Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA) and Zurich, which all announced redundancies, with many of the affected positions being outsourced.
