Brit Insurance has confirmed it is in talks with a host of broker networks as part of ambitious plans to grow its commercial lines business via regional brokers.

The insurer said it also planned to roll out phase one of its own straight-through processing system to brokers this autumn and to open its seventh regional centre, probably in Manchester, by the end of the year.

Dane Douetil, deputy chief executive officer said it already had six regional offices in Bristol, Ilford, Birmingham, Leeds
