Market moves: Big moves for brokers

It was a fantastically busy past few weeks for people moves in the insurance market. From regulators to networks, from insurers to MGAs there was no shortage of developments. However, it was the broker market that stole the show.

There were a slew of changes at Marsh with departures in the networks space and appointments at recent purchase Jelf. Brightside also made the headlines with Russell Bence joining from Markerstudy which in turn reorganised its retail division into four units. 

Former Brightside CEO Andrew Wallin popped up at Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford while Howden’s Stuart Rootham announced his intention to leave.

AUB reports Momentum and Movo deal costs

Sydney-headquartered AUB Group has revealed the costs of snapping up 40% of appointed representatives network Momentum Broker Solutions and 80% of fellow AR offering Movo Group last year, and promised more deals to come.
