Lloyd's has a worldwide reputation stretching back over the centuries. It prides itself on innovation and its ability to take on risks that others step back from. But how does this fit into a UK regional context? Can it offer as much for the provincial brokers as it does the multinationals?

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
