Network Spotlight day 11: Willis’ Fardon foresees imminent network mergers

Sara Fardon, managing director of Willis Networks, claims in the penultimate interview for Network Spotlight that 43% of brokers are part of a network or a club and that weaker networks could fold within a year.

"In the future I consider that there will be a continuing interest in networks but equally I see that there will be a challenge from insurers continually about the value that [a] network does add to them," she says.

"That in my opinion will lead to a flight to quality. So over the next 12 months I see potentially some networks starting to merge to build a stronger base and some of the weaker networks not surviving."
