More chaos in the skies as BA strikes start

ba

Since midnight British Airways' cabin crew have been on a strike set to last five days.

The Unite union said that talks with BA over the weekend to avert the strikes broke down catastrophically.

British Airways plans to operate 60% of long haul flights and 50% of short haul flights from Heathrow . The cabin crew are striking, among other things, over BA taking away travel perks, although BA claim they have offered to reinstate them.

In addition to the strike which started today at midnight two more five-day strikes by cabin crew are scheduled to begin on 30 May and 5 June.
