Groupama wants to develop more products for small businesses,
according to Tim Ablett, managing director of personal and commercial
lines in the UK.


The insurer wants to push ahead with new business, after being taken off
the market by its French parent. It has been assured it has backing for at
least five years.


Mr Ablett said: "We want to move forward and the market is very attractive
now. We bought a healthcare business in August 2000 and we've been quietly
building our product lines since then
