Magian Mutual, the new insurer set up to provide independentfinancial advisers with professional indemnity cover, has gained
authorisation from the Financial Services Authority and appointed a board
of non-executive directors.
Magian Mutual will be managed by Magian Underwriting, a trading name of PI
Direct, and will operate as a self-insuring club.
Policyholders will automatically become members of the mutual and pay a
premium set by Magian Underwriting. A membership levy of 16% premium will
