Carole Nash Insurance Consultants has launched a 'talking claims' service, which it expects will cut claim settlement times by up to 10 working days. The service eliminates the need for policyholders to request, fill in and return a claim form. Instead, they can call a dedicated freephone number to provide details of their claim, which are input directly onto a claim form. Copies of the form are then sent electronically to the underwriter and by post or email to the policyholder. Andrew Scott
