Insurers' collective decision over risk transfer still hangs in the balance despite reports of a handful of major insurers following NIG in its decision to accept risk transfer. Many insurers are delaying their decision pending the results of consultation by the Financial Services Authority.
However, the British Insurance Brokers' Association said it believes the majority will be in favour.
