Mazars' third insurance broker survey, published in association with the British Insurance Brokers' Association, has revealed that brokers are struggling with the cost of regulation.
The survey of more than 200 chief executives and senior managers revealed that 61% said ongoing regulation would affect profits by at least 5%.
Compared to 2004, fewer believed the impact of Financial Services Authority regulation was positive, either for the industry (37%, 2004: 46%) or on clients (25%, 2004: 31%).
