Rivals and partners have reacted with surprise following Towergate's acquisition of Open GI, the largest deal in its ten-year history with some describing it as a "defining moment in the market".
The deal will raise questions over Towergate's future relationships with rival technology houses such as Acturis and Software Solutions Partners, despite reassurances from Towergate.
Simon Ronaldson, sales and marketing director at Acturis, which has a number of ongoing projects with Towergate, remarked
