Alan and Thomas Insurance Brokers has acquired the goodwill of insurance broker Abrey Beatty in Dorset. AB controls commercial premium in the region of £5m and takes the firm's premium income to £15m. Its staff will be relocated to A&T offices in Bournemouth. Stewart King financial director at A&T said: "We see this first acquisition as a stepping stone for continued growth. Economies of scale will further bolster our profitability and ensure we are in a strong position to face industry
