Assitalia has poached an underwriting team from rival Italian insurer
Generali in order to set up a regional branch in Birmingham.


The new office will be headed by ex-Generali Birmingham branch manager
Richard Trinder, who takes up the position of general insurance
manager.


He brings with him Bill Reaney, who assumes the role of development
manger, and Michael Crumpton, Andrew Stacey, and Janet Trew, who are all
underwriters.


The team resigned from their jobs at Generali just days before the insurer
