I read David Worsfold's article in the May issue of Professional
Broking with interest. Personally, I am horrified by the flood of new
regulation hitting general insurance.


Perhaps it is futile to criticise Howard Davies given he is now leaving
the Financial Services Authority and, as I was not at the Association of
British Insurers' conference itself, I did not hear his speech
directly.


However, if he is claiming his hands are tied by poor European regulation
then why, when I read CP 160 and CP 174
