Reynolds Porter Chamberlain has criticised the Department of Trade and Industry's consultation document on directors' and auditors' liability, which proposes to allow agreements on the exclusion of directors' liability for negligence. Ed Smerdon, RPC partner, said: "Excluding directors' liability would send out the wrong signal on how seriously corporate Britain is taking the other changes such as corporate governance."
