Outsourced processes that brokers have handled for years will be
scrutinised by the Financial Services Authority, according to Dr Robert
Davies of City University Business School and Imhotep Consultants.


The FSA is adopting the regulatory approach recommended by the Basel II
accord, which states that insurers must be able to demonstrate they are
assessing and managing the risks confronting their businesses.


Dr Davies said his discussions with the FSA have shown outsourced business
will be given
