A recent survey of 1000 brokers found that 85% had registered for authorisation, 4% were considering a merger, 3% were members of networks and 7% were still undecided.
The poll, conducted by the Institute of Insurance Brokers of its members, was completed on 21 May to ascertain their intentions with regard to compliance with the Financial Services Authority. It also found that almost 80% of those registered planned to meet the discount deadline for submitting applications, however, 14% had not
