The British Insurance Brokers' Association is aiming to 'e-enable' all its members by providing access to broadband internet connection through a reduced cost scheme it is currently negotiating with a leading insurer.

The initiative, lead by head of technical services Peter Staddon, is intended to promote the advantages associated with trading electronically.

Brokers will be able to reduce the cost of this by buying into a tariff, thereby benefiting from economies of scale.

A similar initiative is
