Brokers less stressed but Ecclesiastical warns pressures not easing

Stress levels among insurance brokers have fallen for the first time in several years, according to research by Ecclesiastical, but the insurer alerted there is a divide between ages of staff.

The annual survey in its seventh year, found that two thirds of brokers experienced work-related stress in the past 12 months, with 44% reporting anxiety.

Both figures represented a fall on last year’s findings, and the number of brokers who reported high or very high stress dropped notably since 2025 (almost half), Ecclesiastical observed.
