Aston Lark reveals two fresh deals

The acquisitions will add £50m in annual premium income to Aston Lark, which says it is now set to become one of the biggest private medical insurance brokers in the UK.

Aston Lark has bought two brokers in the health insurance space, Right to Health and The Health Insurance Specialists.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed, but both transactions are expected to complete in early March.

According to Aston Lark, Right to Health was founded in 2001 by Gary Marney and Stephen Carroll and is one of the UK’s largest individual health insurance specialists.

Meanwhile The Health Insurance Specialists was founded by Robin Dowling, Gary Marney and Stephen Carroll

FCA warns on Tempcover clone

The Financial Conduct Authority has issued a warning of fraudsters trying to scam people by pretending to be short-term car insurance specialist broker Tempcover including on TikTok.

Brokers push for more from RSA/NIG

Brokers have given a mixed report on communication levels around the RSA and NIG deal but with the process kicking forwards today have expressed the hope the takeover will make more products available.
