Crash-for-cash fraudsters jailed

MIB and IFB say sentencing should serve as "powerful warning to would-be fraudsters".

Fourteen crash-for-cash fraudsters have been sentenced at Manchester Crown Court, after taking part in a million-pound insurance scam.

Over a 15-month period, fraudsters staged seven collisions with First buses in Chester, having already loaded them with passengers who later submitted over 200 fake personal injury claims totalling over £1m.

Insurance Age has previously reported that the Court had found them guilty.
