More than 50% of GI firms suffering skills shortages

Survey highlights "dearth in technical skills" despite annual improvement.

More than half of general insurance (GI) businesses have experienced skills shortages this year, it has been found.

Some 59% of firms "continue to suffer from a dearth in technical skills" the latest survey from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has reported.

This was still a 14% improvement on the skill deficiency proportion recorded for last year's survey.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin
