MOJ to name rule breaking CMCs online
The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has revealed that it will be logging any breach of the rules by claims management companies (CMCs) online for consumers to check.
The new online tool will detail when CMCs are subject to investigation by the claims management regulator and the reasons behind any action taken.
The government department detailed that everything from minor offences and warnings through to suspensions and cancellations will be updated as and when action is taken.
Head of claims management regulation, Kevin Rousell said: "Consumers can sometimes unknowingly sign-up to a CMC that may be under investigation by my unit.
