Ex-Ink chief launches new MGA for regional brokers

Mike Smith, former MD of Ink Insurance, has launched Incorporated Insurance Group (IIGL), a new managing general agent.

The business will start trading in February and hopes to deal exclusively with regional brokers.

It is backed by several A rated insurers in both the composite market and Lloyd’s.

Mr Smith, whose departure from Giles-owned Ink was revealed by Insurance Age, will work with Lyndsey Thompson, Dean Sturridge, Colin Mayor and Jon Layton, and the team will be based near London.
