Towergate buys Dawson Whyte

Towergate Insurance has today announced the acquisition of Belfast-based Dawson Whyte.

According to the consolidator, Dawson Whyte was first formed as a partnership in the late 1950s and now has five offices across Northern Ireland. It offers both commercial and personal lines insurance services across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK.

Directors Gordon Whyte, Brian Dawson, Hugh McKinty and Michael McClurg, as well as other regional directors will remain with the business alongside 80 employees across the five sites.

Towergate confirmed that Mr McKinty will take on
