CFC launches policy for the cloud
CFC Underwriting has launched a new cyber liability policy for firms using cloud computing services.
The technology specialist’s new policy includes cover for risk of data breach at a third party cloud provider.
Graeme Newman, director at CFC, claimed the Lloyd’s MGA had addressed a gap in the market, as cloud technology was becoming increasingly popular but was also exposing businesses to new risks.
Mr Newman cited security breaches at Dropbox and Amazon as recent high profile examples of the risks involved in using cloud technology.
