LV opens new broker office in Exeter

LV Broker has announced it is opening a new office in Exeter and has appointed Steve Meredith as regional manager for the South West.

According to the insurer, the new team in Exeter will work with the existing Bristol office to cover the South West region including Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, South Wales and Wiltshire.

Mr Meredith joins LV from NIG and brings over 30 years of insurance experience. The insurer also confirmed that a team of three have been recruited to run the Exeter office: Nigel Skinner, Nick Potter and Ian Linnen are joining as underwriters, all from the recently closed Exeter NIG office.

Biba 2024: FCA to take its time on transparency proposals

Emily Shepperd, chief operating officer of the Financial Conduct Authority, has said the regulator was “overwhelmed” at the response and amount of feedback to its transparency proposals, and that it is going to “really take our time” when considering any possible next steps.
