More redundancies could be on the cards for Lloyds employees

Lloyds Banking Group would not rule out further job cuts following the announcement it was axing up to 200 general insurance jobs as part of an organisational shake-up.

Following the acquisition of Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) by Lloyds TSB last year, the process to combine the insurance divisions of both banks into one integrated business, which will include the sales, marketing, actuarial and underwriting operations, began.
