The Financial Services Authority has issued a consumer alert after Double Easy Brokers of Camden sold Zurich motor policies without authorisation. The warning published by the FSA expressed concern that consumers may be committing an offence by driving without valid insurance and, because the firm was not authorised, would therefore have no recourse to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service.
