Q: Can my client, who lives near Lewes in Sussex, get affordableflood cover?
A: The Association of British Insurers indicated in its agreement on flood
cover that it will provide cover "wherever possible".
If the claims expectancy is greater than 1:75 years, your client should be
able to get something affordable. However, the government will have to
play its part in continuing to provide adequate funding for flood
defences.
