Outgoing Biba chairman Hamish Ritchie made a plea to members and delegates at the conference to encourage young blood in the association. Mr Ritchie expressed disappointment at the lack of people in their early 30s devoting time to the membership of Biba. He said: "When Max Taylor takes over from me, I believe that it would be lovely to make a start on bringing younger people into the association. Give young people a project - something to do."
